Indianapolis, IN (Oct. 19, 2005) – AAA Hoosier Motor Club is proud to announce the affiliation of Burkhardt’s Driver Education, Inc. in Kokomo.

The facility is located at 2705 South Berkley Road, Suite 4E, Kokomo, IN 46902.

As part of its affiliation, Burkhardt’s Driver Education will immediately begin offering class enrollment discounts to AAA members.

AAA Hoosier Motor Club’s ADSN program, which was initially launched this past summer, is geared toward changing the face of new driver training in Indiana by encouraging more teens to participate in pre-licensing education. Additionally, the Club hopes to improve the quality of existing driver education programs in the state which will hopefully result in safer drivers and safer roadways.

"Through Burkhardt’s Driver Education, we’re confident that new drivers in the Kokomo area have access to the type of training that young people need in order to prepare them for the challenges they’ll face while traveling Indiana roadways and beyond."

NEWS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE.  August 17, 2005, Kokomo, Indiana - Burkhardt's Driver Education announces additional instructors to join staff. It's no secret many school systems are not funding driver education programs anymore. As a result, Burkhardt's Driver Education has increased its student enrollment substantially. To serve more students, we've added new instructors. Jeff Layden brings three years experience to BDE ( Burkhardt’s Driver Education) program. He is an Indiana State graduate and teaches at Tri Central High School. Jeff enjoys teaching and spends much of his time with his wife Kathy and their family. Jerry Fernung’s 27years of driver’s education experience is a tremendous asset to BDE. A retired high school teacher and administrator from Tri Central, Jerry enjoys working with young people and applies that energy to his driving instruction. He spends much of his time with his wife Barbie and their family.

Experience and passion for driver safety. Toby Burkhardt, owner and head instructor has 31 years of driver education experience. As a retired Tri Central High School teacher, his love of all types of vehicles and his passion for keeping new drivers safe on the road is the cornerstone of BDE. “The kids come first. Understanding the fundamentals of practical driving is the key, and good drivers need a solid foundation to carry through to many years of safe driving,” says Toby. Toby is joined by his wife Karen, also a former teacher who most recently completed her driver’s education training course at Bethel College. Together the couple’s passion for keeping rookie drivers safe and knowledgeable fuels BDE to be one of the most proficient and well-staffed driving schools in Northern Indiana. “We understand the concerns of parents especially in regards to their child’s safety. This is a critical step in their child’s social development and personal safety for the rest of their lives. We want to be part of that positive influence for that young person’s life,” says Karen. Burkhardt's Driver Education is a full service driver instruction company specializing in teaching teenagers to learn to drive safely and responsibly.
